Holiday Lake 50k, Loop 1 I am a distance runner, and I have been since Fall 2011 when I ran my first marathon. I stepped up to the ultra-running distance in April 2014 with my first Promise Land 50k finish. This spring, I ran four 50k’s (Holiday Lake, Terrapin Mountain, Dam 50k, and Promise Land again). That brings my total up to a round 5 ultra’s finished and it also makes me a Triple Crown finisher and ¾ the way done with the Lynchburg Ultra Series (LUS). Here are my remaining races for the fall; I hope to see some of y’all out there! I DISLIKE cleaning. I’m the person whose room is an “organized chaos”. By that I mean that I know where everything is, but everybody calls it “messy”. I’m also the person who lets the dishes/laundry pile up until nothing clean is left. So, unsurprisingly, I hadn’t cleaned the bathroom in a while. (Side note: I share the bathroom, so I’m not solely to blame here) I tackled the project recently. Looking back, there was never a moment where I exclaimed, “Wow! The shower is FILTHY. Let me clean it NOW.” The dirtiness accumulated over time. Just like sin. Just like MY sin.
