Fall 2016 Running Schedule

Holiday Lake 50k, Loop 1 I am a distance runner, and I have been since Fall 2011 when I ran my first marathon. I stepped up to the ultra-running distance in April 2014 with my first Promise Land 50k finish. This spring, I ran four 50k’s (Holiday Lake, Terrapin Mountain, Dam 50k, and Promise Land again). That brings my total up to a round 5 ultra’s finished and it also makes me a Triple Crown finisher and ¾ the way done with the Lynchburg Ultra Series (LUS). Here are my remaining races for the fall; I hope to see some of y’all out there! Sat Aug 27: Kennedy Mile at Linkhorne Track in Lynchburg, VA – A timed mile to benefit Kennedy Rylin Osmulski who suffers from a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). My goal is to break my mile PR of 5:20. Sat Sep 3: Iron Mountain 16-miler in Damascus, VA Sat Sep 10: Odyssey Trail Running Rampage 40-miler in Douthat State Park, VA. Longest race to date. Sun Sep 11: James River Splash n’ Da

(Side note: I share the bathroom, so I’m not solely to blame here) I tackled the project recently. As expected the bathroom was a little dirty… especially the shower Disclaimer: Not our actual shower. Stock image. After taking the picture, I realized just how dirty the shower was. Looking back, there was never a moment where I exclaimed, “Wow! The shower is FILTHY. Let me clean it NOW.” The dirtiness accumulated over time. Just like sin. Just like MY sin. Rarely does sin just happen. Usually a slippery slope of events leads to the act. Adultery starts with lustful thoughts and inappropriate conversations/jokes. The thief doesn’t start with grand theft auto. And small
